Helen Morrison is a local Clevedon Artist, where the surrounding local landscape heavily influences her oil paintings. Her home studio is open by appointment, she participates in local art initiatives such as the Clevedon Art Trail and the Franklin Arts Trail. Her work is influenced by the expressionist movement and artist Toss Woollaston.

Helen paints to respond to the landscapes that surround her, each work is a personal reaction to it. Through painting she engages in a visual conversation with the land, using layers of colour and shape to reflect how she sees it. Helen aims to capture the emotions, movement, power, drama and beauty within the landscape, often exploring the sublime and the deep connection she feels to the environment. Helen’s goal is to create works that tap into deep feelings.
